Melbourne Airport Environs Safeguarding Standing Advisory Committee Consultation
The Victorian Government is seeking submissions to advise the Minister for Planning on improvements to the planning provisions safeguarding Melbourne Airport and its environs.

Whilst there are no airports located within the City of Moreland, some areas of Moreland are impacted by airspace and noise from the surrounding Essendon Fields and Melbourne Airports.
Development proposals in Moreland are reviewed for any infringements of the protected airspace and referred to the airport operator where necessary.
Melbourne Airport is located approximately 6 kilometres north of Moreland in Tullamarine. Melbourne Airport is governed by the Federal Government as it is located on Commonwealth land.

Essendon Fields Airport
Essendon Fields Airport is located to the west of Moreland and is governed by the Federal Government as it is located on Commonwealth land.
