Costs if you don't pay a parking fine

Council issues fines for parking as well as animal and local law infringements.

If you do not pay a fine issued by Council by the due date, and your fine is not being reviewed, then costs will be added to the initial fine amount and Council can start legal action.

Council obtains vehicle ownership details from VicRoads to commence this process. The information obtained is used solely for this purpose.

If you are in the process of requesting a review of a parking fine, the infringement and costs are put on hold until a decision is made by Council.
