Please note that we operate all our programs in line with COVID-19 guidelines. Please follow public health advice, and check with Program Co-ordinators if you have any questions about our programs.

Drop - In Services

  • Drop-in at Oxygen and hang out in a safe and inclusive environment.

    We have a range of equipment that you can use including:a pool table, an arcade machine, outdoor table tennis table, WIFI, foosball table, computer lab, board games, a PlayStation and Xbox, a comfortable meeting space, a quiet study and prayer space, an internal courtyard, a multipurpose space with a basketball hoop and youth workers providing support and supervision. 

    Date, Time & Who: 

    Mondays to Fridays from 3pm to 5pm - for young people aged 12 - 18 years

    Fridays from 12:30pm to 2:30pm - for young people aged 19 - 24 years.

    Location:

    Oxygen Youth Space, 4 - 8 Gaffney Street, Coburg North

    No registration required, just drop-in.

Homework help & tutoring

  • Homework support for year 7 -10 students.

    Staffed by a team of volunteer tutors who will assist students with their school work and assignments.

  • Learn the road rules in a fun and interactive way and take your learners test at Vicroads free!

Music 

  • Amped Up is a Moreland youth program where a group of young people aged between 16 and 24 plan and organise live music events that take place in Moreland.

    The Amped Up team run 5+ community music events each year including the Oxygen Stage at the annual Sydney Road Street Party

    Date & Time: 

    Tuesdays from 4pm to 5:30pm

    After COVID-19 restrictions began, the Amped Up team have been sharing youth-led ideas online. This included Amped Up TV on the @ampedupfreeza instagram account, and their very own zine. These ideas helped to support artists, musicians, local youth and the general community.

    In 2021 the Amped Up team hopes to get back to hosting live events. We are already meeting face to face again, but are mindful of restrictions.

    Icicles Studio, Oxygen Youth Space (4/8 Gaffney Street, Coburg North)

    Who:

    For young people aged 16 and 24 years, interested in the arts and supporting the community. 

    You do not have to have any prior experience to join, just passion and commitment.

  • Helping Hoops Power is a basketball program for females (& female identifying) aged 10 and up and is a fun way to learn skills and play basketball - no experience needed. 

    Date & Time: 

    Every Monday, 4 pm - 5.30 pm during the school term.

    Location:

    These classes are held  at Fawkner Leisure Centre,
    79/83 Jukes Rd, Fawkner VIC 3060.  OR Online during lockdown

    Who:

    This is a female-only class, so we ask that only female-identifying young people from 10 +. All sisters, aunties, mothers and all your female friends can attend too.

    You do not have to have any prior basketball experience to join in with us, we welcome anyone from beginners to experts.

    What should I bring to the class?

    Make sure to wear exercise friendly clothing and bring a drink bottle and a towel.
