BIG Summer Read
BIG Summer Read is a summer reading program aimed at primary school children, but anyone under 18 is welcome to enter.
Children are encouraged to keep reading over the summer holidays via an encouragement program that uses Beanstack, a mobile app that rewards you for reading. When reading milestones are reached, children earn ‘badges’ for their Beanstack profile and increase their chances of winning a prize.
Moreland Libraries children read books to go into the draw to win a Nintendo Switch or a Family Zoo Pass!
The BIG Summer Read starts Wednesday 1 December 2021 and pre-registration is now open. Pre-registration allows you to create an account on Beanstack and sign up to the program.
Only books logged between Wednesday 1 December 2021 and Friday 31 January 2022 will be eligible for the competition. You need to log at least 10 books and if you log more, you will have even more chances to win. This includes graphic novels.
To get started, download the Beanstack app, visit the Beanstack website. You can also visit your local library ans ask for assistance.
