Councillor attendance at meetings
To assist in ensuring all the required information is available, in addition to meetings and correspondence Councillors have with community members, Councillor Briefings are held regularly to provide advice and information on matters to be included in Council reports or of significant community impact.
In line with good governance practice and transparency, Councillor attendance (PDF 111Kb) at these meetings is provided.
At the June 2018 Council meeting, Council adopted the Meeting Procedure Local Law 2018 (DOC 366Kb). As part of the new Meeting Procedure Local Law, the Urban Planning Committee was dissolved and the Instrument of Delegation and Terms of Reference revoked.
Decisions relating to planning matters are now made at Council meetings that are specifically held to consider planning and related matters. These meetings still have provision for objectors and developers to address the meeting prior to decisions being made.
