Westbreen Creek Conservation and Development Plan

Project background

westbreen creek parklandCouncil is in the process of developing a Conservation and Development Plan for the Westbreen Creek open space corridor between the Northern Golf Course (Glenroy Road, Glenroy) and the confluence with the Moonee Ponds Creek in Pascoe Vale. This includes KW Joyce Reserve, Gavin Park, Austin Crescent Reserve and Payne Reserve.

With completion of a number of recent infrastructure projects, scheduled capital works planned and potential new opportunities arising, particularly in stormwater management, now is an ideal time to take a fresh look and provide an overarching integrated strategy for Westbreen Creek.

Council will be working with a number of key stakeholders, including Melbourne Water, the Northern Golf Course, Pascoe Vale Girls College and Friends of Moonee Ponds Creek as well as consulting with local residents and park users to develop recommendations for management and appropriate development of open space along the corridor.
