Chain of Ponds - Moonee Ponds Creek Plan
Future vision of the Moonee Ponds Creek
Imagine the Moonee Ponds Creek, not as a barren concrete drain, but as a natural waterway running through lush green parkland.
Moreland and Moonee Valley Councils have jointly developed the Chain of Ponds, a draft action plan for the Moonee Ponds Creek.
This draft plan reimagines the Moonee Ponds Creek as a healthy, vibrant destination which supports native plants and animals, provides green space for leisure and recreation, and helps prevent flooding.
We know that the creek means different things to different people. It is a well-used, walking and cycling path, a place to walk the dog, listen to the birds or even practice skateboard tricks. That is why it is so important that the community has a say on our draft action plan which we developed with your input.
