Proposed discontinuance of roads within John Pascoe Fawkner Reserve
Moreland City Council, acting under section 206 and Schedule 10 Clause 3 of the Local Government Act 1989 (“the Act”), proposes to discontinue the roads enclosed within John Pascoe Fawkner Reserve, together with the road adjacent to 71 & 73 Winifred Street, Oak Park, which are shown hatched on the plan below or over page.
If discontinued, Council proposes to retain the land from the roads for municipal purposes, as part of John Pascoe Fawkner Reserve, Oak Park in accordance with its Rights of Way Associated Policies 2011 (DOC 116Kb)and Rights of Way Strategy (DOC 3Mb).
Make a submission
Any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing by no later than 5.00 pm on Wednesday 19 August 2020.
A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission at the Hearing of Submissions Committee to be held Monday 21 September 2020, at 5.30 pm, at Moreland Civic Centre, 90 Bell Street, Coburg or by video conference should a meeting in person be inappropriate due to social distancing requirements resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.
Any person making a written submission is advised that personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to discontinue the roads, part of the roads, or not to discontinue the roads.
