About Moreland Affordable Housing Ltd
Council is establishing Moreland Affordable Housing Ltd (MAH), which is a charitable entity created by Council to support its commitment to increase the provision of affordable housing in the municipality.
Specifically, the core purpose of Moreland Affordable Housing Ltd is “to provide relief to persons who are homeless or whose life circumstances render them vulnerable to loss of affordable and secure housing, by providing either directly or through partnership with other organisations, a range of affordable accommodation options in the City of Moreland”.
In its 2018-19 budget, Council committed allocations over four years from the Moreland Housing Reserve to support the operations of Moreland Affordable Housing Ltd.
Seeking nominations for board members
We are seeking nominations for up to 6 board members.
We are seeking people with a diverse skill set to establish and drive this company. Nominees with Treasurer and Secretary experience are encouraged to apply.
Council is committed to advancing inclusion and social cohesion in the community. Moreland seeks to advance ‘empowerment and participation’ along with the ‘advocacy and leadership’ potential for target groups as identified within the Moreland Human Rights Policy 2016-26 (DOC 554Kb). People from these target groups are encouraged to apply:

- People with disability
- LGBTIQ communities
Working in a constructive relationship with other board members, you will establish Moreland Affordable Housing Ltd as an organisation that is resolute in its purpose while working through multiple and complex challenges.
A selection panel comprises a councillor, a senior Council officer and a community member of the the Moreland Housing Advisory Commitee, with input from the independent Chair Designate is seeking to nominate up to 6 board members.
