Moreland Industrial Land Strategy (MILS)

Status - Adopted by Council and Submitted to the Minister for Planning for Approval

The report of the Planning Panel appointed to consider Amendment C158 and the draft Moreland Industrial Land Strategy was considered by Council at the Council Meeting on the 13 July 2016. The Officers Report to Council, including the full Planning Panel Report, is available to view via Council's website.

Council has adopted a Final MILS

At this meeting Council resolved to adopt a final Moreland Industrial Land Strategy 2015-2030 (MILS). The final MILS is available to view at Attachment 4 to the Officer Report for the 13 July Council Meeting.

Council has adopted Amendment C158

Council also resolved to adopt Amendment C158, and submit Amendment C158 to the Minister for Planning for Approval. Amendment C158 will implement the MILS into the Moreland Planning Scheme by making changes to the Local Planning Policy Framework. No rezoning of land will occur as part of Amendment C158. The changes to the Local Planning Policy proposed by Amendment C158 are available to view at Attachment 5 to the Officer Report for the 13 July Council Meeting.

Amendment C158 has been submitted to the Minister for Approval

Amendment C158 was submitted to the Minister for approval on the 27 July 2016, in accordance with requirements of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 that an adopted Amendment must be submitted to the Minister for approval within 10 business days of the date of adoption.

It is expected that the Minister will make a decision on the Amendment within 40 business days of it being submitted for approval (21 September 2016).
