New irrigation system being installed at Balfe Park

Council is installing a new irrigation system at the Balfe Park sportsground and park from Thursday 26 October to Friday 17 November 2017.

The new irrigation system will save water, help reduce ongoing maintenance of the sportsground and park, and offer a better playing surface.

Works to install the new irrigation system will be carried out in the sportsground in the first two weeks followed by the park area in the last week.

The sportsground will be fenced off while works are being completed and will be unavailable to use by the community.

We do not expect access to the playground to be disrupted, as works in the park are in the northern section and away from the playground.

Equipment and machinery are being delivered through the Little Miller Street entrance.

Enquiries contact Council Open Space Maintenance on 9240 1111.
