East Coburg Community House

The Coburg Community Houses are friendly, welcoming Community Houses where you can make new friends, gain new skills, share ideas and experiences. Community Houses offer social, recreational, educational, and support programs for all of the community.

East Coburg Community House is located at 32 Nicholson Street, Coburg.

We are just a one minute walk from the 129 tram stop at Moreland Road and Nicholson Street, on the number 1 East Coburg – South Melbourne Beach tram.

Payments are non refundable unless the class is cancelled.

All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. 

The Artist and Community Exchange Program

An opportunity for artists to utilise the space at Coburg Community Houses in exchange for offering the community access to their art and artistic process through a one off workshop, exhibition, rehearsal, performance or something similar.

The houses are available at only $10 per day at various times during the year.

Community Kindness Program

Would you like to do an act of kindness? Some people in our community need your support to join in. Donate the cost of a program and we will find someone to give it to. Look at the program and choose an activity you would like to support.

Winter Drive for Refugees

Thanks to everyone who donated coats and blankets during Term 2.

We are now collecting quality everyday goods for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) including in-date dried and tinned food as well as toiletries, nappies, baby wipes and feminine hygiene products until 7 September when they will be delivered to the ASRC.

Facilitators

We are looking for local facilitators and tutors.

Volunteers

If you have skills or hobbies and the time to volunteer your knowledge with other local like-minded people we would love to hear from you.

We currently need volunteers with experience in

  • Microsoft Office to assist with office duties
  • People with computer and tech skills to assist with intergenerational learning on social media, smart phone use and basic computer skills

Community garden

Do you love gardening? Or would you like to know more about it?

We are working on getting more of our community involved in making our lovely garden spaces productive and sustainable - let us know if you’d like to take part! Contact us to work in the garden at either house at a time that is suitable for you.
