Coburg comes alive with a spectacular array of colour and culture!
Coburg Carnivale is an annual event that celebrates the diverse community of Coburg.
The 2017 Coburg Carnivale was once again presented as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. The free two-day program showcased local artists, culture, people and places of Coburg.
Brand new artworks and experiences were created especially for the 2017 Carnivale by local artists, including Asian Grocery by UB, Reach Out Sounds by Glen Walton and Cayn Bothwick of Playable Streets and ReCollection by Memento Media’s Jessica Ferrari.
Festivals Moreland supported the development of these new works; which also debuted as part of the recent Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Special thanks and congratulations to all of the participating artists and event partners for helping to make this year’s Carnivale a huge success.
A big congratulations is also extended to UB whose new work Asian Grocery was nominated as one Melbourne Fringe Festival’s 4 x Best Live Art works.
