The ArtAbility Gala Exhibition, celebrating artists from CALD communities living with a disability.
ArtAbility® is an inspiring visual arts program run by ADEC that unites a range of over 100 talented artists of all ages who are living with a disability or an experience of mental ill health, who come from culturally diverse backgrounds across Victoria.
ArtAbility® provides the contributors the chance to be seen as 'Artists' by their peers, families and the community in general while promoting a message of ability rather than disability, strength in diversity and personal empowerment through engagement with the broader community.
Now in its thirteenth year, the ArtAbility® program is going in a new direction.
ArtAbility® will continue to be made up of contributing artists, collaborations with other organisations and art workshops.
Artwork that has been submitted will be on display during this time at the Brunswick Town Hall during the day for general members of the public to view with a Gala Night later in the evening with nibbles, entertainment and most importantly of all the stars of the show, the artwork!
