Backyard Harvest Festival

Backyard Harvest Festival

Get inspired to create your own food garden this spring.

The Backyard Harvest Festival is about celebrating local food gardens and sharing food growing knowledge and skills across generations and cultures. It has inspired gardeners since it began in 2011.

For the first time in 2017, Moreland Council joined Darebin Council to deliver this festival, which took place from Saturday 18 to Sunday 26 November 2017.

Events in Moreland were:

  • Emma's Edible Oasis
  • Mark's 'Try and Try Again' Garden
  • Composting and Wormfarming Workshop
  • Munir and Mittul's Compact Courtyard Garden
  • Karen Sutherland's 'Gunyah' Garden
  • 'Rani's Patch' and Multicultural Food Garden
