Clean Up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day is Australia's largest annual community-based environmental event.

Each year thousands of volunteers collect rubbish from parks, waterways, nature reserves and bushland across Australia.

Council and Clean Up Australia Day

The next Clean Up Australia Day is on Sunday 4 March 2018.

Council will collect the rubbish that volunteers pick up on Clean Up Australia Day. You must contact Council to organise a pick up location after you have registered your site.

Business Clean Up Day

By participating in Business Clean Up Day on Tuesday 27 February 2018, you are doing your part to promote a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. The event inspires businesses to work towards improving their environmental impact as well as being a great team building exercise.

Closer to the day, businesses can register for Business Clean Up Day at Clean Up Australia Day to clean up and conserve their local environment, either at their own workplace or further afield.

Schools Clean Up Day

The next Schools Clean Up Day is on Friday 2 March 2018.

Closer to the day, your School can participate by registering at Clean Up Australia Day. You will receive a School's Clean Up Kit and a Site Guide for information on how to prepare your event.

Since 1992, Schools Clean Up Day has allowed thousands of school students to participate in Clean Up Australia as part of their school community.

Clean up the World

After gaining the support of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Clean Up the World was launched in 1993. Clean Up the World involves about 30 million people in 80 countries.
