Maintaining our health and fitness is important especially as we grow older.
Recreational and social support programs encourage older people to remain fit, active and involved in social and recreational activities.
As we grow older we may need help to stay in our home. Council offers a range of home maintenance services to help older people and people with a disability.
Sometimes people can no longer cook for themselves or need help with showering and personal care.
Sometimes people need help with simple household tasks including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and washing. Council's home care staff can help.
As people grow older it is often their partners, children or a close relative who cares for them.
Council's respite care staff care for a person whose family or main carer needs a short break.
Council has a range of services to help older people, people with a disability and their carers.
