Hello, we are the Oxygen - Moreland Youth services team. 

We are a diverse bunch of youth, social and community workers with a passion to work alongside young people who live, work, study or play in Moreland.

Nuray

Nuray is our Unit manager, advocate and foodie

She’s passionate about a lot of things, especially young people and the value they bring to our community. Along with her dedicated team, she promises to work hard to make Moreland a better place. She loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, drinking coffee and sitting in long Council meetings ... Good thing she lives in Moreland!

Simon

Simon is the Oxygen Youth Space boss, basketball coach, youth worker extraordinare hailing all the way from New Zealand.

When Simon isn't cleaning up glitter, empty noodle packets and winning pool games, he's coaching the Coburg Giants basketball team and spending time with his partner and young son.

Liam 

Liam is our community development worker who has a passion for working alongside young refugees and asylum seekers.

When his not running the social soccer or creating quirky training opportunities for young people, he's spending time with his wife and three young sons.

Sue 

Sue is our youth development officer. She's passionate about learning and developing young leaders, spending much of her time working alongside the Oxygen Committee. 

When she's not trying to turn the heating up in the Oxygen office or listening to 90s dance music she's spending time with her family and friends.

Sarah 

Sarah is our youth worker/ promoter/ Facebooker/ designated photographer and Freeza support worker. She has a big heart for people and a passion to create spaces where young people can belong and express themselves, here in Australia and abroad.

She loves travelling to new places, crafting with wool, dancing at No Lights No Lycra, thinking up funny puns for the Facebook page and learning the ukulele.

Damien

Damien spends his days making sure Council builds things that young people want including skate parks, dedicated youth spaces and outdoor wi-fi hot spots.

When he is not plotting behind the scenes to secure funds, creating power point documents and writing policy submissions, he can be found mentoring young entrepreneurs and pottering around the garden and planning his DIY home improvements.

Vito 

Vito is our FReeZA support worker and Youth Program Support Worker. He's a passionate muso, audio engineer and an origami paper crane production line. He’s currently studying a Diploma in Community Development at RMIT and has a passion for working with young musicians and playing UNO.

When he's not making cheese toasties, he's eating cheese toasties, wearing daggy jumpers and trying to find other things he can make toasties out of because he ate all the cheese and bread.
