Primary school holiday program

Council operates a school holiday program for primary school children aged between 5 and 12 years old whose parents live, work or study in Moreland.

The program offers a variety of in-house activities, including games, crafts and sports, as well as excursions.

Council's primary school holiday program operates under the Commonwealth Government's Child Care Benefit Scheme.

It follows the staffing qualifications, ratios, and building requirements of the National

Quality Framework for Outside School Hours Services and My Time Our Place.

The January 2018 Primary School Holiday Program will operate from our 3 venues from Tuesday 2 January to Friday 19 January 2018 .

Our three venues:                                                             

  • Brunswick South West Primary School
  • Coburg North Primary School
  • Brunswick East Primary School   

Due to renovations, Pascoe Vale South Primary School is not operting for the January 2018 program. Families have the option of using one of our other venues. We look forward to seeing you back at Pascoe Vale South Primary School for future programs.

Children with additional needs                  

If your child has additional needs, phone the Team Leader - School Holiday Program on 9240 1227 at least 6 weeks before the program starts to discuss your child's needs and your care requirements.

When and how to enrol

Guidelines on how to enrol for the January 2018 School Holiday Program will open on this page from Friday 3 November 2017 by 5 pm

Existing families 

Please do not create a new account as multiple accounts may affect your account balance. If you have used the School Holiday Program before, at any of our venues, go to QK Enrol. If you have forgotten your password, go to QK Enrol and use your listed email address, choose forgotten password this will send you a new one.

Please ensure your enrolment form has been completed and/or has all current information before you choose your casual dates.

New families

You need to register first before you can use the primary school holiday program online booking system.

Once you are registered, sign in to provide enrolment details and submit your booking request.

We have developed step-by-step instructions for online bookings (DOC 1024Kb) to help you through the enrolment and booking process.

Please note: until you receive a booking confirmation from Council, your booking request is tentative.

Copies of the brochure and enrolment form are also available at local primary schools and at a Council Customer Service Centre.

The enrolment form includes a parent/guardian information form that needs to be completed every January by all families, if you are enrolling for the first time, if your circumstances have changed, or if you have not used the program during the last 12 months.

If your child has any medical conditions, allergies (PDF 260Kb), anaphylaxis (PDF 294Kb) or asthma (PDF 150Kb), an action plan must be completed and submitted with your enrolment form.

Processing and confirmation of enrolment

Enrolments received between Monday 6 November 2017 and Friday 17 November 2017 will be processed in order and in accordance with the Australian Department of Education Priority of Access guidelines.

Your requested booking dates are not guaranteed as there are limited places at each session and venue.

An invoice confirming your enrolment in the Primary School Holiday program will be emailed on Thursday  23 November 2017 

Families using the program for the first time

If your child is absent on your first booked day, you are not eligible for CCB and full fees will apply on all absences until the first day of the child's attendance.

Families using the program for the last time and not returning

CCB will apply up to the last day of attendance. If your child is absent up to and including the last day of your booking, you are not eligible for CCB and full fees will apply for these absences.

How to pay

Payment is due Friday 1 December 2017

Pay online through Council's website

  • Use BPAY with the biller code 938944
  • Make a cheque or money order payable to Moreland City Council and post to Primary School Holiday Program, Moreland City Council, Locked Bag 10, Moreland 3058, or
  • Pay in person at a Council Customer Service Centre.

Cancellations

Cancellations in writing are due by Friday 1 December 2017 by 5pm

Cancellations received after Friday 1 December 2017 by 5pm will require full payment of fees whether your child attends or not.

Late enroments

Late enrolments will be considered and places allocated where vacancies exist.

A waiting list also applies and applicants will be notified when and if a vacancy becomes available
