Proposed right of way discontinuance adjoining 10 Davies Street, Brunswick

Background

At its meeting on 10 August 2016, Council resolved to give public notice acting under section 206 and Schedule 10 Clause 3 of the Local Government Act 1989 (“The Act”), that it proposes to discontinue a section of right of way adjoining 10 Davies Street, Brunswick.

If discontinued, Council proposes to sell the land from the road to the adjoining owner of adjoining 10 Davies Street, Brunswick by private treaty, in accordance with Council’s Rights of Way Associated Policies 2011 (DOC 116Kb).

Make a submission

Submissions closed at 5 pm  on 22 September 2016.

Written submissions in relation to the proposed discontinuance will be considered in accordance with S223 of The Act.

A person making a submission is entitled to request that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a nominated person, at a meeting of the Council or its Urban Planning Committee on a date, time and place to be determined by Council.

Please note that Council is required to maintain and make available for public inspection a register of submissions received in accordance with S223 of The Act during the previous 12 months.

Following the consideration of any submissions, Council will make a decision regarding the proposed discontinuance or otherwise.
