O’Hea Street, Pascoe Vale to Coburg Traffic Working Group
Expression of interest
Following the O'Hea Street Community Session on 18 April 2016 and as part of the May 2016 Council meeting, it was recommended that a Working Group be developed to provide a temporary consultation forum to guide Council's decision on how to manage traffic on O'Hea Street between Pascoe Vale and Coburg.
Council is seeking expressions of interest to participate in the working group.
What is the criteria for selection?
Further to Council’s correspondence of 25 July 2016, seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the O’Hea Street Traffic Working group, the selection criteria has been modified to include property owners and occupiers.
Council is seeking to form a group of up to ten community members who reside in a residential property of O’Hea Street (or an abutting street) within the study area. The working group will comprise one member from each location:
- Between Northgate Street and Anderson Street
- Between Anderson Street and Cumberland Road
- Between Cumberland Road and York Street
- Between York Street and Turner Street/Derby Street
- Between Turner Street/Derby Street and Sussex Street
- Between Sussex Street and Jersey Street
- Between Jersey Street and A'Beckett Street
- Between A'Beckett Street and Stawell Street
- Between Stawell Street and Upfield Railway Line
- Between Upfield Railway Line and Sydney Road
How will it work?
The Working Group shall consist of two Councillors, one from the North-East ward and another from the North-West ward, two Council staff and a total of 10 community members and will meet every 2-3 months for up to 9 months duration at the Moreland Civic Centre with the meeting time to be confirmed.
Meetings will be chaired by a Councillor and minutes taken by a Council officer with an allocation of two hours for each meeting.
Any pre-reading will be circulated at least one week prior to a meeting and any formal advice provided by the Group will be reached by consensus.
What is the application process?
Submissions are due by Friday 26 August 2016. Interested community members are requested to complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form (DOC 2Mb) by either downloading the document, or completing the online form below. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their EOI.
All applications previously posted to Council do not need to be resubmitted.
In addition, as part of the O'Hea Street Community Session on 18 April 2016, participants requested details on the procedure to inform Council of road crashes. Visit our Vehicle accidents page - you will be asked to submit the location of the crash and other crash details.
